Minimum Requirements Incumbent should have a relevant Senior Certificate / Grade 12/ NCV Certificate (Level 4). A recognised BA Social Work Degree/National Diploma/Degree in Social Science / Psychology with an education qualification or equivalent relevant qualification. 1-2 years’ experience in student support services in an Education/ Teaching and Learning environment or related field. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). A valid Code 08 driver’s license. Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions SACSSP is an added advantage.
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills Proven knowledge of the Public Sector. · Knowledge of the TVET environment. Proven knowledge of Psychology practice. · Teaching background. Public Service legislative frameworks such as the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations. · Batho Pele principles. Duties Provide student support services. Provide student counselling or referral services. Implement student work placement and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) policies. Provide career guidance, counselling and academic support for students. Implement the sport, recreation, arts and culture programs for students on the campus. Facilitate student governance and student leadership development and exit support programme. Supervisor staff
