Students & Staff who participated in the workshop

On the 11th and 14th August we completed the Work Readiness Workshop for the first batch of N6, Business management students of Ms. Pearl Jantjies. The workshop took place over two days; Tuesday11 and Friday, 14 August. The 1st Workshop focused on writing the CV, cover letter and interview skills. This was y exceptionally organised by Ms. Jantjies with soup, and snacks as well gifts for the students.

On Friday we had three corporate guests: Mr. Qa'id Wingrove (Old Mutual), Ms. Yolandi Farhan (Oxford University Press) and Mr. Salmaan Chafeker (Pearson) who conducted the mock interviews.  Sample questions and interview guidelines were provided by Ms F. Darries, HR Manager at Wesgro.

The three corporate guests provided invaluable and realistic insight into the business world. The mock interview sessions were both educative and informative which substantiated and extended the students' knowledge gained in the 1st day of workshops. Their input was quite important and most relevant.

It was wonderful to see the students dress for the occasion, and be prepared with CVs and cover letters.
